Fu-Tzu Wong Died After A December Hit-Run Crash In Virginia

A woman died at an area hospital more than a month after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Fairfax County, according to police.

Fu-Tzu Wong, 63, died on Monday after she was hospitalized by a driver who remains at large while she was crossing the road on Wednesday, Dec. 27. 

Officers from the Fairfax County Police Department were called shortly before 8 p.m. on the night of the crash near the intersection of Huntsman Boulevard and Bridle Wood Boulevard when Wong was struck by a driver that fled the scene before investigators arrived.

Police say that Wong was crossing Huntsman Boulevard inside a crosswalk when she was hit by an unknown vehicle. She was rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, which she succumbed to on Jan. 29. 

The investigation into the crash is ongoing as detectives attempt to locate the vehicle and driver involved.
